Low maintenance lawn solutions
Keeping a well maintained lawn is hard work. Especially in gardens where weeds have taken hold or where getting to the lawnmower in the back of the shed is a massive chore!
Artificial grass is a great way to keep your garden looking fresh and well maintained all year round. Mud free and maintenance free, it provides a safe and consistent surface. You can expect to save money on your water bill and never have to worry about yellow patches again.
Artificial grass can be installed over soft or hard surfaces making it a great way to tidy up your garden. It can be used to cover concrete, tarmac areas, balconies and of course, your existing lawn. We recommend that a soft underlay is used to ensure the new surface is soft and springy underfoot.
Artificial grass for decorative use
Some areas of the garden are hard to reach with a mower or strimmer. Artificial grass is a good option for these situations helping keep your garden looking tidy all year round.
Can I use artificial grass for under childrens playground equipment?
Yes! Artificial grass is a great, consistent surface making it ideal for use under swings, slides and play towers. In back gardens there is no specific requirement for use as a safety surface however we recommend the use of shock absorbing underlay. We can advise on how much surfacing is required around your equipment for compliance with the relevant safety standards. In commercial environments – to comply with BS EN 1176 and 1177 a shock absorbing layer / underlay must be installed to suit the height of the equipment.
I have pets? Can I still have artificial grass?
Yes, artificial lawns are ideal for dogs and cats to play on. All of our products can be easily cleaned using a garden hose, warm water and mild detergent, or even with a good rainfall. We can advise on types of artificial grass that are suitable for your needs so please ask us for advice.
What thickness, pile and styles are available?
Like the carpet inside your house, we can supply natural looking, realistic surfaces in a range of different thicknesses, piles (density) and styles. You also have the option to choose a suitable ‘underlay’ for a softer finish depending on where and how your artificial grass is going to be used.
Do I need additional drainage?
Most artificial grass is installed with a porus membrane, meaning water will pass through the surface and soak away or evaporate naturally.
How much artificial grass do I need?
We offer a free design and measure service to ensure that the correct amount of grass is ordered for your outdoor space. During your consultation we can discuss any concerns you have over quantity or design.
